Hampton Court Palace

Today IES took us on a day trip to Hampton Court Palace where King Henry VIII lived. (apparently it was built just as a house for fun though and not to do actual work.) The gardens were really pretty. We took a horse drawn carriage tour around the gardens, walked around the palace etc.

Then we came back to London and went out to dinner at what is becoming our usual restaurant. It's called the Stockpot, it's right by our res hall in Chelsea, it's really cheap food but nice inside and really good food (suprisingly.)

Then we went to Picadilly Circus area. Picadilly Circus is an area which looks like Michigan Ave and Times Square threw up on London. Big BIG video billboards and lots of Prada etc. type stores. Right around there is Buckingham Palace but it was getting late so we decided to stop there a different day.

London Album #1

I'm sure the London Tourist Board will want to use your description of Picadily Circus in brochures...
